Frank Schulte/Director of Power Plant Developments
Frank started his career in Potovoltaics (PV) in 1987 and sold his first PV business to Shell Solar. Frank has developed and owns PV power plants with partners in Germany, Spain, Italy and the Czech Republic with over 60MWp. He has a degree in Mechnical Engineering from Aachen, Germany and an Executive MBA from Rochester, NY. Frank is a German Citizen and resides in Nyenrode, Netherlands with his wife and 3 daughters.
Paul D. Carey/CEO
Paul has spent most of the last two decades in the fields of Real Estate Development and Investment and Financial services. He is a Certified Solar PV Professional and started his career in contracting. He has served as an officer for his local municipality’s Economic Development Authority (EDA) and its Public Facilities Task Force Committee. Brian Manahan/CFO, Director
Brian has been the CFO for green energy company WEPOWER, with products in small wind turbines, and solar thermal. He has served as CFO for Forval International, a $500 Million Japanese company specializing in telecom and information technology. Brian is an expert in financial management, financial analysis, accounting, strategic planning, contract negotiations and legal management. Brian maintains a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from California State Polytechnic University and an MBA from UCLA.
Dennis Bell/CTO, Owner, Director
Dennis has over twenty-five years of experience in energy, modeling, and information technology. He modeled renewable energy generation, as well as power system costs and reliability, for the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI). Dennis also designed large campus and corporate computer networks, directed and administered IT at a Fortune 1000 semi-conductor manufacturer and co-founded a building-integrated PV R&D company. Jeremy Johnson/Executive VP
Jeremy has worked as a licensed general contractor since the mid 90s and has extensive experience in both project management and outside sales. He currently serves as an Army Logistics Officer with 21 years military experience including several war time deployments. He holds a BS from Southern Illinois University in Aviation Management and is currently finishing an MBA from Webster university with an emphasis in procurement and acquisition management. Mr. Song has over 35 years of global IT industry experience. He spent 13 years with Samsung Electronics in both Korea and the United States.
He has also served as CEO for Wintron Inc, Pacom Int’l and Terra Digital Inc.
Currently Mr. Song is consulting for companies based in Korea looking to penetrate the US solar market in the areas of EPC, equity investment and material supply.
Mr. Song received a Bachelors of Science in Energy Resources Engineering at the Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea.
Jeff Atkin/Legal Advisor
Mr. Atkin is a partner with Foley & Larder LLP. His experience in renewable energy and project finance includes representing developers, investors, lenders and landowners in the construction, development, acquisition and financing of renewable energy generation facilities, including wind, solar, hydro, geothermal and biomass facilities. Mr. Atkin’s experience includes the successful negotiations of many wind and solar Power Purchase Agreements.
Jason Barglow, Advisor
is senior counsel with Foley & Lardner LLP, and a member of the firm’s Real Estate and Transactional & Securities Practices as well as the Energy Industry Team. Mr. Barglow’s experience includes advising on all manner of real estate issues arising in connection with the financing, construction and development of alternative energy projects, including acquisition of site and development rights and permitting and entitlement issues. In addition, he is certified as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP). Nationally, fewer than 350 attorneys hold this designation. Henry Zaininger, Advisor
Mr. Henry Zaininger has 43 years of electric power engineering experience. This experience includes transmission and distribution line design and system planning assessments of electric transmission and distribution systems throughout the United States and all over the world. He has performed system impact studies of a broad range of advanced energy technologies, including solar, wind and biogas renewable resources, energy storage, distributed generation and end use technologies, including load flow, stability, and post transient voltage and reactive margin assessments as appropriate. He founded Zaininger Engineering Company in 1978. Other employment includes Power Technologies, Inc., Illinois Power Company, Electric Power Research Institute, and Bell Telephone Laboratories. He has authored 58 technical publications. He has a Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois. He is a senior member of the IEEE and recently served as Chairman of the IEEE-PES Power System Analysis, Computing and Economics Committee.
